Feeling Like Summer - 06/10/13

*As of 4pm, weve hit 95 in Austin and Llano has reached 100degrees this afternoon!!  More heat and humidity to come this week!

 Feeling Like Summer
Temps in the mid to upper 90s will be the rule all week long.  Our averagehigh right now is 92.  The Summer Solstice is Friday, June 21st at 12:04am...but it already feels like summer and will continue to do so for theforeseeable future!  As of now, it doesn't look like we'll be quite hotenough for records - which are all in the triple digits this time of year.

Extended Dry Stretch?
Rain chances are few and far between for the next couple weeks.  In fact, one computer model is forecasting NO rain for the next 15 days in Austin. That said, there could be a pop-up shower late Tuesday afternoon south and eastof Austin and there might be some scattered showers and storms southwest ofAustin by Friday.  Officially for Camp Mabry, I'm keeping a dry forecastfor the next straight week.  We're currently 1.48" below average rainat Camp Mabry this month and 1.33" below for the year.

Father's Day Weekend
If you think it feels hot now, just wait 'til Father's Day weekend.  Someareas could hit 100 for the first time this year.  For now, I'mforecasting 97 with partly cloudy skies Saturday and 99 with mostly sunny skiesfor Father's Day Sunday.  For comparison's sake: last year we hit 100 forthe first time on June 11th (101 degrees) and we had a total of 6 100+ days inJune.

Your Storm Tracker Forecast:

Tuesday Night: Clear early, patchy fog late.  Winds: S 5. Low: 75
Wednesday: AM clouds/patchy fog, PM sunshine.  Winds: S 5-15. High: 96
