Time change means big change in traffic patterns. - 11/04/13

There are two times a year the traffic patter changes. Back to school, and when the time changes in the Fall. Just when were all getting used to the dreadful back to school traffic, we get a rude awakening.

The extra hour of sleep is great, but now evening commuters will be driving home in the dark or with the sun setting right through their windshields.

So brace yourself. Last year it was especially rough because the time changed, traffic was awful, and then the Trail of Lights returned.

Heres what I know so far about the return of the Trail of Lights this year, which runs December 7th -22nd. The city sent me this info:

The Great Lawn southwest area will be open at all times during normal park hours of operation (expect road closures on Trail of Lights event nights).  Great Lawn areas in the lower park area adjacent to Lou Neff Road will open daily while Trail of Lights staff are on site for event set up.  Access will be through pedestrian gates installed along the southwestern fence line.  In mid-November the lower park area and volleyball courts will close as Trail of Lights display installation begins in this area.
