It's sometimes sold, and sometimes used in exchange for drugs. It's not money. It's not sex. It's your checks. Literally! It may be considered the new street currency.
Several times a week I go to the Williamson County courthouse in Georgetown to spot crime trends. I started seeing more and more reports and arrests surrounding stolen mail and have done several stories to warn our viewers.
After asking some more questions, I learned how technology is making the old school tactic of check bleaching quicker and easier and fueling a comeback of the crime.
