Austin's Best Rock Band Quiet Company on SXSW

Updated: Monday, June 2 2014, 10:25 PM CDT

Music fans are getting loud over Austin band, Quiet Company.

They're an indie-rock band that has been compared to Radiohead and Deathcab for Cutie. Wednesday night, they won Best Rock Band at the Austin Music Awards.

Tommy Blank, who plays guitar and keyboard, says they're excited to play this year at South-By-Southwest. "It's obviously a thrill. It's hectic. It's crazy. There's a million people everywhere but there's also artists from all over the country that we get to see that are friends of ours and we get to be part of a scene that's becoming an international sensation."

Quiet Company was recently coined one of the"Top 5 Bands to See at SXSW" by Time Magazine, NPR, and the New York Times.

You can see the band perform today at 1:45 at the Blind Pig on E. Sixth St. Then, they're playing Threadgills at 4:40 this afternoon.
