Bettie's Box Office: 22 Jump Street Review

Updated: Thursday, June 12 2014, 06:38 PM CDT

The bromance buddy cops are back in 22 Jump Street

Once again, Schmidt and Jenko (Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum) go undercover as students to track down the source of a synthetic drug. Sound familiar? It's exactly the same plot as the first movie but this time, it's college.

You could say that the two movies are exactly the same but this one might even be better. The chemistry between Hill and Tatum is still fantastic and the sequel is loaded with so many sight gags and deadpan punch lines that I want to see it again just to catch what I missed the first time. On top of that, 22 also has one of the most awkward and hilarious fight scenes ever filmed.

If you liked 21 Jump Street, you'll probably love 22. It's definitely worth a matinee ticket. Don't miss the closing credits if you want to see where the franchise hopefully won't be headed.

22 Jump Street opens Friday, June 13 and is rated R for language throughout, sexual content, drug material, brief nudity and some violence.
