Bettie's Box Office: THE CAMPAIGN Movie Review

Updated: Wednesday, August 8 2012, 06:22 PM CDT

Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis square off in an election farce where art imitates life. If you liked Talladega Nights, you'll think Ricky Bobby has switched gears and is in a political race for Congress. His opponent is a little light in the political loafers, but gets tough quickly as the mud-slinging on both sides reaches epic proportions (imagine TV ads that need "Mature" ratings).

The predictable characters are here (handlers, power players, political spouses), but there are some great surprises and sight gags from the rest of the cast. The Campaign is rated R for a little sex and a lot of raunchy language. In a nutshell, The Campaign is a mud-slinging, back-stabbing, home-wrecking comedy that is sure to get some laughs.
