Blues On The Green Returns To Zilker Park

Starting Wednesday, the annual -- and free -- KGSR's Blues on the Green Concerts return to the Zilker Park.

The northern side of Zilker Metropolitan Park at 2100 Barton Springs Road will once again serve as the site for the concerts.

May 29 Alpha Rev with Wild Child
June 12 Wheeler Brothers with The Whiskey Sisters
June 26 Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears with Dupree
July 10 Bob Schneider with Max Frost
July 24 The Gourds with Shakey Graves
August 7 White Denim with My Jerusalem and The Preservation

Rain Dates: June 5, 19, July 17, 31, August 14

The music begins at 7:30 p.m.

The Austin Parks and Recreation Department has issued the following general reminders:

• Check the FAQ and get other event related information at:
• This is an outdoor event.  Attendees are reminded to wear hats, sunscreen and pack a flash light to safely illuminate their way while walking after dark in the park and along the hike and bike trail.
• AMPLE parking is available at the park ($5/car), Palmer Events Center and One Texas Center.  Attendees are reminded NOT to park in the neighborhood.
• Go green and take your bike to the event site.  There are plenty of bike rack spaces available at the event site.
Public Safety Reminders:
• Attendees are reminded not to park illegally on right-of-way areas, in designated no-parking areas, or too close to corners or hydrants in the neighboring areas.  Public safety personnel will be patrolling the affected areas, and ticketing/towing illegally parked vehicles.
• This family friendly event is alcohol and smoke free. Smoking Violations are a Class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $2,000 pursuant to Chapter 10-6 of the Austin City Code.

Barton Springs Pool will remain open to the public, with regular parking access to the pool via the Robert E. Lee Drive parking lot.Blues On The Green Returns To Zilker Park
