Updated: Friday, April 27 2012, 03:02 AM CDT
Award-wining country music star - and Ft. Worth native - Gary Morris brings his "If You Were Mine Tour" home to Texas for one night at the Georgetown Palace Theatre.  The concert event plays on Saturday, June 16 beginning at 7 p.m.

“I’ve seen a lot of great places and played some of the grandest stages in the world, but nothing compares to coming home to Texas," Morris said.  "This is my heart, my home, and I can’t wait to get back.”

This show follows Morris' much-lauded performances at The Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame, where he debuted songs off his latest CD, If You Were Mine.  The current tour included concerts in New Zealand in April before returning stateside.  Gary has begun rolling out his new album by releasing a newly-written song every month via iTunes and CD Baby, with the complete CD available in November 2012.

Best known for his original recording of "Wind Beneath My Wings" - which won both the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music "Song of the Year" awards - Morris produced 12 albums that generated 16 "Top 10" singles and five Number One hits including "Baby Bye Bye," "Leave Me Lonely," "100% Chance Of Rain" and "Velvet Chains"

At the height of his country music career, Morris won the lead role in Broadway's hit musical Les Miserables.  His rendition of "Bring Him Home" can be found on the platinum selling, Grammy Award-winning international cast album.

Texas-based duo Curtis & Luckey will open the concert, performing an acoustic set.
A combination of the Wild West and the Deep South, the songwriters and musicians scored two charting singles from their debut album: “Eye Candy,” reaching Top 60 on the Music Row Breakout Charts, and "I Have A Dream" which charted on all three Texas charts.  Their current single, “Tattoo,” is climbing the Texas charts.

Tickets for the concert are $27 for regular seats and $38 for premiere seats in the first four rows.  The Palace Theatre is located at 810 South Austin Avenue in Georgetown.  For more information and reservations, call (512) 869-7469 or visit www.GeorgetownPalace.com.
