The Intergalactic Nemesis will appear on Conan O'Briens Valentine's show.

The creative team behind the production will fly to O'Brien's studio for a taping of a segment of the show that will include O'Brien himself, along with comedy partner, Andy Richter.

Austin's home-grown theatre experience The Intergalactic Nemesis is scheduled to appear on the Valentine's Day broadcast of "Conan."  The creative team behind the production will head to O'Brien's studio for a taping of a segment of the show that will air on TBS at 10 p.m. and include O'Brien himself - along with comedy partner, Andy Richter - performing an excerpt from the live radio play and comic book mash-up.

The Long Center presented the world premiere of the Austin original, live action graphic novel to an audience of thousands in 2010, helping to launch a world tour to more than 30 cities.  Originally created in 1996 as a radio drama inspired by Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and the classic pulp serials, the premise for The Intergalactic Nemesis follows Pulitzer-winning reporter Molly Sloan and her intrepid assistant Timmy Mendez.

Set in 1933, the pair has stumbled across a series of murders foiled by a mysterious librarian from Flagstaff named Ben Wilcott.  The heroes trek across Europe, North Africa, and beyond to thwart world-famous mesmerist Mysterion the Magnificent and what turns out to be an invasion of sludge-monsters from the planet Zygon.

Written by Jason Neulander, the story has been serialized in a set of graphic novels, with artwork by Tim Doyle.  The show features actors Danu Uribe, David Higgins and Christopher Lee Gibson recreating the serial live - with live sound effects created by Buzz Moran and the original score performed by Graham Reynolds - while more than 1,250 hand-illustrated comic book artwork images by Tim Doyle are projected panel-by-panel on a two-story, giant screen.

O'Brien will fly five members of the Nemesis cast to Los Angeles for the taping, which will feature an interview and a short segment of the production.  Neulander will play "Mysterion the Magnificent," with Uribe reprising her role of "Molly Sloan."  O’Brien will play "Ben Wilcott" and Richter will play "Timmy Mendez."  Moran will perform the sound effects he created and Reynolds will play his original score.  Nemesis Company Manager Jessie Douglas will run the slideshow of artwork by Doyle.

The sequel - entitled Book Two: Robot Planet Rising - will premiere at the Long Center on June 8, 2012. Tickets are available at www.TheLongCenter.org.  For more information about The Intergalactic Nemesis, visit www.TheIntergalacticNemesis.com.
