Ken The Critic: Wicked

Travel back to the land of OZ before Dorothy even stepped foot there. It was a time where Glinda, the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West were actually friends, best friends in fact.

This wonderful Broadway play starts with the two girls meeting while they are still in school. Elphaba is awkward, yet very intelligent and sometimes not given a chance. On the other hand, Glinda is pretty and popular, even though she is a little egotistical. They are very different, but they start a bond that just can’t be broken. Even when they grow older and are combative towards one another, you get to experience firsthand how their special bond holds.

What an experience!  The New York Times calls Wicked “the defining musical of the decade.” The stage production will blow you away just like a tornado and is honestly the best I have ever seen. A gem of a play, Wicked shines bright and will leave you smiling remembering the wonderful characters that you grew up watching.

Get Orchestra seat tickets for $25! Available by Lottery 2 and a half hours before the performance starts. This is available only in person at the Bass Concert Hall box office with a limit of two tickets per person. Cash only!Ken The Critic: Wicked
