Palace Theatre In Georgetown Kicks Up Its Heels With Annie Get Your Gun

The historic Palace Theatre in Georgetown kicks up its heels this summer with the classic American musical Annie Get Your Gun.  Performances will run weekends from June 29 through July 29.
   
With lyrics and music written by Irving Berlin and book by Dorothy Fields and her brother Herbert Fields, Annie Get Your Gun features classic musical theatre songs that include "There's No Business Like Show Business," "Doin' What Comes Natur'lly," "You Can't Get a Man with a Gun," "They Say It's Wonderful" and Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)."  The musical tells the fictionalized life story for real-life historic legend Annie Oakley, the self-taught sharpshooter who starred in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and had a romance with rival sharpshooter Frank Butler.  Directed by Ron Watson, the production features Patty Rowell as "Annie Oakley" and Phil Rodriguez as "Frank Butler."
    
Performances will run Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m.  Ticket are $24 for general admission, $22 for seniors (55 ), $14 for students (13-22) and active military, and $10 for children (12 and younger).
