How to help flood victims
--Donate to the Red Cross of Central Texas online. Since the floods began early Thursday morning, the Red Cross has served more than 10,000 meals and snacks, provided more than 300 health service checks, and registered more than 500 individuals at the Flood Assistance Center.
--Volunteer for the Red Cross of Central Texas
--Donate to the Salvation Army of Austin. It has deployed its food truck to provide meals to flood victims and first responders and providing other flood relief in coordination with area emergency management.
--Donate to the Austin Disaster Relief Network. To volunteer, call 512-331-2200. It has given more than $21,000 to flood victims.
--Drop-off food donations is Oak Meadows Baptist Church, 6905 S. I-35. It is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
