F1 in Austin
The sporting world looks to Austin in November as the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix premieres here. It is being held at the Circuit of the Americas facility in Southeast Travis County. Formula 1 practice begins Fri., Nov. 16, qualifying is Sat., Nov. 17 and the race is Sun., Nov. 18. At the same time, Downtown Austin hosts a street festival, Austin Fan Fest.
