The Austin Hot Sauce Festival is back for a 22nd run. A regular at Waterloo Park, it's at Fiesta Gardens while Waterloo Park remains a major construction site for the city. The Hot Sauce Festival is promising samples from successful local sauce bottlers and an opportunity to test the wares of up-and-coming chefs. And of course there's live music. The Hot Sauce Festival is this Sunday 11:00am-5:30pm.
BTW-- Facebook friends suggested their survival tips if the sauce gets to be to much for your tongue. The most popular treatment was beer followed by milk, ice cream and sugar. Also mentioned were cottage cheese, Sweet & Low, yogurt, bread, root beer and vinegar. Try one that works for you.
