Beauty Queen Begins Flip Flop Service Project

To be fair, Spruce Dickerson was all about service and volunteerism before she was named Miss Plus America ELITE last year. And she plans to continue her public service work even after she crowns her successor at the 2012 competition on Jun 30th.
But for now Dickerson is focused on footwear. She wants to collect flip flops for the people of Africa. Dickerson says she has family in Nigeria who tell her what a blessing it would be for some of them to no longer have to walk around barefoot. So she's asking for Central Texans to buy inexpensive flip flops at the discount store and donate them at two locations:
