Cedar Park Celebrates New City Hall

Cedar Park celebrates the grand opening of their new city hall campus today at 6:00pm.  The event begins with a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony in City Council Chambers and will be followed by guided tours of the facility which is located at 450 Cypress Creek Rd.

The grand opening comes one month after 65 City employees moved from the old 20,400-square foot City Hall on Bell Blvd to the new 67,746-square foot development.

The most widely used public services are now spread across three one-story buildings with easy access and close-up surface parking.

The city of Cedar Park was able to purchase the development for $4.95-million with money from the city's general fund and utility fund balances, without issuing any new debt.  And since the complex was in foreclosure, the city estimates it saved approximately 50% on the deal.
