Houston Man Convicted Of Sex Trafficking Of Children

A Houston man was convicted in a Houston Federal Court for trafficking children for sex.

Tevon Harris, aka “Da Kidd” and “King Kidd”, 22, has entered a plea of guilty on two charges of trafficking children under 18 for commercial sex.

According to the plea agreement, Harris forced young girls into prostitution using force and intimidation.  He gained the victim’s trust by telling them he was going to help them to become models.  Harris would meet them on social networks.

Harris faces a minimum of 10 years and up to life in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.   If released, he faces a maximum of life on supervised release and be required to register as a sex offender.

Sentencing is set for July 7, 2014.
