Iconic Video Rental Shop Is Austin's Video Vault

Vulcan Video has been in the video rental business for some 30 years. And according to their web site, they’ve earned the title of “Best Video Store” in the Austin Chronicle’s annual reader’s poll for the “millionty time.”
To say Vulcan Video has a wide selection of titles is-- to say the least-- an understatement. Brian Connolly, store manager at the south location says, "Unlike the video chains we carry everything. The chains lean toward the newer titles. They got rid of all their VHS. They got rid of a lot of the older weirder stuff. We keep all that. We never got rid of anything." That means they stock all the classics and some not-so classic films like "Tammy and the T-Rex.” That film never made it to DVD, but Vulcan Video still has a VHS copy and many other video tapes. Sorry, no Beta tapes here.
