IHOP Celebrates National Pancake Day

Updated: Tuesday, February 28 2012, 08:41 AM CST
Pancake lovers unite! February 28 is National Pancake Day and IHOP is helping us celebrate.

For the seventh consecutive year, IHOP restaurants nationwide are offering each guest a free short stack of its famous buttermilk pancakes.

IHOP’s goal is to raise awareness and funds for Shiners Hospitals for Children and other local charities. While the short stacks are free, guests are invited to make a voluntary donation to Shiners Hospitals for Children.

IHOP hopes to raise $2.7 million this year. In 2011 on National Pancake Day, IHOP served four million pancakes and raised $2.5 million dollars.

Fay Campbell with IHOP visited We Are Austin Mornings to tell us about the event.
