It's Watermelon Time In Luling

The city of Luling in Caldwell County is hopping this weekend with it's annual Watermelon Thump. It starts Thursday and Runs through Sunday. Events include dances, watermelon speed eating and seed spitting contests, the crowing of the Luling Watermelon Thump Queen and of course a parade.
Luling is easy to find. From Austin head south on US 183 and you'll be there in about 45 minutes. If you hit I-10 you just passed it... although I'm not sure how that would be possible with so much going on.
