MotoGP Revs Up At COTA

Updated: Friday, April 11 2014, 08:43 AM CDT

The Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas kicks off at the Circuit of the Americas. The three day MotoGP promises to have fans on the edge of their seats.

Riders will reach speeds of 200 miles per hour on two wheels, turning corners on a 64 degree lean and dragging their padded knees and elbows on the track. It's not a sport for the weak at heart!

Rain or shine, the race will go on. General admission starts at $39. Kids under 12 are free.

MotoGP legend and Austin resident Kevin Schwantz spoke to KEYE TV's Ashley Miller about the thrill of the sport and what you can expect to see. Click the video above to watch his interview.
