NE Austin Shooting Victims In Surgery, APD Still Looking For Suspects

Updated: Wednesday, May 14 2014, 07:28 AM CDT
On Wednesday morning, Austin police are still looking for the person or people responsible for a shooting in Northeast Austin that critically injured four people.

It happened at the Las Colinas apartment complex on the 1500 block of Reagan Hill, just a block or so from Reagan High School.

Austin Police say they don't believe the public is in any danger. At least two of the four hurt were shot, and overnight Wednesday Austin police tell KEYE that those people are undergoing surgery at UMC Brackenridge.

They're not saying how the other two people were injured but say they are both at the hospital.

Police responded around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday after getting a call about several shots fired.

They found one person shot in the stomach outside and another person shot inside an apartment unit. Police don't have a motive, and they aren't sure whether the victims knew each other or whether they knew the shooter or shooters.
