New Detectives, New Focus On 12th Anniversary Of Rachel Cooke Disappearance

Updated: Friday, January 10 2014, 06:29 AM CST
This morning, a Georgetown cold case is back in the headlines as new detectives are assigned to the disappearance of Rachel Cooke.

It’s now been 12 years since the college student went missing near her Georgetown home in a case that’s garnered national attention.

Cooke left her home near Lake Georgetown on the morning of January 10, 2002, to take a run. It was a run family members say she’d done several times before.

This time, however, she never returned home. Some neighbors telling police at the time of her disappearance, they remember seeing her in the neighborhood following her run.

For the last twelve years, authorities have been searching for clues that will lead them to Cooke.

Meanwhile Cooke’s family’s never given up hope, marking the anniversaries since she disappeared more than a decade ago.New Detectives, New Focus On 12th Anniversary Of Rachel Cooke Disappearance
