Long Motors supports KEYE TV's "No Text Zone" Campaign
Paul Long, the owner of Long Motors, was with us to express his firm's support for making our streets safer.
The National Highway Transportation Safety Board says about 40% of teens were in a car while the driver used a cell phone in a dangerous manner. And why would using a cell phone while driving be dangerous? Because it takes your mind off your driving. A study done at Carnegie Mellon University found that driving while using a cell phone reduces the amount of brain activity needed to operate a motor vehicle by as much as 37%.
