Nov. 1: School Of The Week, Stephen F. Austin H.S.

Dating back to the 1880s, Stephen F. Austin High School is Austin's first high school. Its current location near Mopac and Lady Bird Lake is actually the school's third home, opening in 1975. Their first home at 9th & Trinity burned down in 1925. Their second home for the next 50 years is now the ACC Rio Grande Campus. Austin High has a hall of honor that includes just about any big name politician or celebrity that grew up in Austin in the 20th century.
