UT Tower: Anywhere You Can't Go, We Can Go LIVE

If you don't count the State Capitol dome, the University of Texas Tower is probably Austin's most iconic landmark. 

The university lights the towers in different configurations to celebrate school achievements on and off and, of course, to honor its graduates.  The tower stands more than 300 feet tall and provides a spectacular view of Austin's skyline.  But you can't enjoy this view just anytime. 

There are special tours that will take you up to the observation deck, and the tours only run on the weekends.  The rest of the time, the tower is a full functioning administration building for the University of Texas.
