Woman Stabbed, Man Dead After NE Austin Domestic Dispute

The Austin Police Department is investigating an overnight stabbing and shooting.

Police say they responded to the 1100 block of Oak Drive near I-35 and Rundberg Lane in Northeast Austin around 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

Police arrived and found a Hispanic woman suffering from stab wounds and a man in a car dead from a self-inflicted gunshot would.

The woman was transported to University Medical Center at Brackenridge with life threatening injuries.

Officers believe the man shot himself after a domestic dispute with the woman.

The woman was found in a home and the man was found in a car a block away.

The incident remains under investigation.
