Chuy's Children Giving To Children Parade
Updated: Friday, November 9 2012, 04:16 PM CST
KEYE TV is proud to sponsor this year's Chuy's Children Giving to Children Parade.
It takes place Sat. Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. starting at 11th and Congress Avenue moving south along Congress toward the bridge. There will be giant inflatable balloons, holiday floats, marching bands and famous children's characters.
Children bring new, unwrapped toys to the parade. When it stops, children can join in to donate their toys.
KEYE TV will broadcast the parade that night, Sat. Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.
The parade collects toys for the Austin Police Department's Operation Blue Santa program. It provides more than 3,000 families a holiday meal and wrapped Christmas gifts for each child under age 14.
The Chuy's Children Giving to Children Parade is sponsored by Chuy's, KLBJ 590 AM and 99.7 FM, KGSR 93.3, BOB FM 103.5, La Z 107.1, Parkway Construction & Associates, Dykes Restaurant Supply, Labatt Food Service and Coca Cola.
