It is one of the worst things a parent can hear about at their child's camp; a counselor videotaping children in the shower.  Those are the allegations against a former staff member at a Boy Scout camp.  This happened at Camp Tom Wooten in Bastrop.

As you drive FM 1441 the signs point you to the Lost Pines Boy Scout reservation.  It's home of the Wooten Camp.  It appears as a playful place on the outside.  Beyond the wooden gate scout leaders and police suspect something serious.

"They discovered a camera that wasn't supposed to be where it was" explained Charles Mead.  Mead is the spokesperson person for the Boy Scouts of America Capital Area Council.

According to a letter the organization sent to parents, that camera was in a shower. A young man found it.  The sheriff's office was called.  Investigator Vance Weltner spoke to the 24 year old suspect; A Cub Scout staff member since 2006.  "He admitted to doing it for three days" Weltner explained.

Police say over those three days, four people were videotaped in the shower.  There are two adult men and two juvenile boys.  The news was met with "disgust and disappointment" Mead explained.  He says the organization has done its part to try to keep the suspect away from children.  "His membership in the BSA has been revoked.  He's been placed in a national database to where he will not be able to register again as a member of scouting."

Since this man has been with the Boy Scouts eight years a question remains.  Could he have done this to anyone else?  That's one question police hope to answer as they continue their investigation.

"That's one of the reasons the letter was sent out to let parents know to talk to their children and my information was provided should their children make an outcry" Investigator Weltner explained.

Investigator Weltner has received several phone calls, but as of this afternoon, no new allegations.  He expects an arrest will be made after the last victim is interviewed this week.
