Fugitive Sex Offender Captured in New Braunfels

Updated: Saturday, August 2 2014, 08:56 PM CDT
Previously this week the New Braunfels Police Department released information requesting the public's assistance in locating a fugitive sex offender identified as Damien Blaec Christenson, 23.

Christenson was wanted for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration, which is a 3rd Degree Felony.

In the early morning hours on August 2, 2014 officers received a Crime Stoppers tip reference the possible location of Christenson. Christenson was located in the area of the 1600 block of W. Mill St / W. Bridge St and after a short foot chase with officers, Christenson was apprehended by one of our K9 officers and his K9 partner.

Christenson was transported to the Comal County Jail and charged with the felony warrant and another charge of Evading Arrest.

This apprehension was initiated because a tipster utilized the Comal County Crime Stoppers program to anonymously report the whereabouts of this fugitive sex offender.

This is a great demonstration of teamwork between the New Braunfels Police Department and the New Braunfels community who took an active role in keeping their neighborhood safe by reporting this fugitive sex offender. Fugitive Sex Offender Captured in New Braunfels
