Georgetown Police: Child Escapes Attempted Abduction

Updated: Monday, July 7 2014, 10:29 PM CDT

Georgetown police say a child was able to get away from an attempted abductor Monday afternoon by biting him.

Police say it happened at around 5:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Wildwood Drive.

Investigators say an 11-year-old boy was walking along Wildwood Drive when a white, four-door vehicle approached him and a man grabbed him.

The child told police he bit the suspect on the arm and was able to get away.  The suspect got back in his vehicle and left the area.

Police say the child ran to his home and reported the incident to his mother.

The suspect is described as a white male with a mustache and wearing sunglasses.

Police could not immediately provide further details.
