National Instruments Cancels Incentive Plan

Updated: Monday, June 9 2014, 05:42 PM CDT
National Instruments has decided not to go forward with an incentive plan that was set to bring Austin 1,000 new jobs over the next ten years.

The Austin-based company announced the decision on Monday in the following statement:

"Considering the company's goals to continue leveraging our current investments, drive sustained revenue growth, and improve our operating margins, we have elected not to proceed with the development agreements with the City of Austin, Travis County and the State of Texas which would have set building and hiring requirements in Austin.

We are optimistic about the remainder of 2014 and remain committed to our long-term growth strategy, sustained investment in research and development, and continued engagement with our Central Texas community."

National Instruments currently employs more than 2,500 people at their North Austin campus.National Instruments Cancels Incentive Plan
