UPS Driver Accused Of Slicing Dog's Face With Box Cutter

Updated: Sunday, June 15 2014, 06:43 PM CDT

Tonight a UPS driver is under investigation, accused of cutting two dogs with a box cutter. This is according to the Travis County Sheriff’s office.

Laura Crowell says her two dogs, Samson and Shaymus were outside in the front yard, which is surrounded by an invisible fence, when it happened. Samson needed more than 50 stitches after being cut multiple times on his head and face.

A UPS driver was delivering the package on Friday when Crowell got a frantic call from a neighbor about the altercation with her dogs.

Crowell tells us in six years there's never been a single complaint against either of her dogs.

“I want him to lose his job and I want this to follow him around forever because this is a crime. That's all I want really,” stated Crowell.

The sheriff’s office says the case is under investigation for possible animal cruelty charges but so far no charges have been filed.

We spoke with a representative from UPS who said he will look into the incident and get back to us Monday during normal business hours.
