Williamson County 4th Of July Festivities

Updated: Friday, July 4 2014, 06:32 PM CDT

It's all about the red, white and blue today and on this 4th of July.

At San Gabriel Park in Georgetown, you can hop on a train, pet some pigs or listen to the music.

"We come out here every year and the kids just have so much fun," says Allison Lozano.

Thousands came to the annual celebration for entertainment, food and family.

At Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, the festivities attract tens of thousands of people; you can even brush up on that beauty routine.

"Just got my eyebrows thread," said Michelle Graham, "so I don't have worry about going to lake line mall."

In both locations the main attraction are the fireworks.

That of course happens after dark.

The key is to be patient, expect to wait in traffic on the way out, unless you have a plan.

Michelle Graham says she definitely has one, "We're going to drive away from the park and go sit at the water park with lounge chairs, so we don't have to be so close."
