Baseball Team Gives Free Funeral As A Prize

Updated: Wednesday, August 21 2013, 11:32 AM CDT

A minor league baseball team gives a Pennsylvania man a free resting place.

Tuesday night Steve Paul was wheeled onto the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs field last night.  He just won an all-expenses paid funeral from the team.

The Ironpigs held a contest, asking people to describe the perfect funeral in less than 200 words.

Paul, recently diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease, won.

He described his perfect funeral as a close-knit affair with relatives and friends, laughing and telling stories about the past.

The team says this contest is meant to help celebrate life, not glamorize death.
