Indian Man Pulls Train with His Hair

Updated: Saturday, August 3 2013, 09:47 PM CDT
In a unique attempt to enter the record books, a man successfully pulled an engine and four coaches of a toy train with his hair tuft in Siliguri district of India's eastern West Bengal state on Monday (September 17).

Driven by extreme passion for creating records, Sailen Roy, a 45-year old driver working with community police service, pulled the 41-ton engine and four coaches of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Toy train with his hair.

"On the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja, I pulled the train with my hair tuft, including four coaches and an engine. I pulled the train for two and a half meters," said Roy.
The coaches of the toy train had no passengers when Roy pulled it for two and a half meters.

As he got ready to pull the train along the tracks on a flat stretch, the enthusiastic onlookers were left aghast.

"This kind of stunt is not performed by anybody in any other country, so I want to teach this technique to ten to twelve people, so that they make the country proud. It would be very helpful if the West Bengal government provides some assistance to me," said Roy.

Roy is now aiming to get his name registered in the Guinness Book of World Records.
The enthusiastic driver believes in breaking his own records, as is evident from his earlier attempts of pulling a truck and two buses with his ponytail.
