Man Granted Permission To Tight Rope Walk Niagara Falls

Updated: Friday, February 17 2012, 06:58 PM CST
Skydiving, check.  Rock climbing, check. Swimming with sharks, check. Running out of adventures to cross off the bucket list?

Well here’s an experience you don’t want to miss…a tight rope walk across Niagara Falls.

It may not be you on the wire, but even just watching can cause anxiousness for spectators.

Nik Wallenda was given approval for an attempt to walk across Niagara Falls on a tight rope.  He is one of the famous Flying Wallendas, a family of circus acrobats and daredevil stunt performers.

The Niagara Tourism and Convention Corporation says the approval has already boosted the economy with advertising dollars and is just what the city needs to spark tourism and increase jobs.

Wallenda will attempt the walk this summer. The last man to complete the walk across was James Hardy in 1896.Man Granted Permission To Tight Rope Walk Niagara Falls
