Mom gives birth to 13 pound baby

An Iowa mother gave birth to a 13 pound, 12 ounce baby and did so without medication.
Baby Asher was born nine days late. He was just a half inch shy of being two feet long. When asked about the experience, Asher’s m other declined to comment, saying “It would not be TV appropriate.”
“She said, “It definitely hurt and I remember once saying, “When I went through labor, I just wondered when people wanted the pain medication.” I remember thinking right now, right now, I would like it. But, I knew that it was better that we could not do it.”
Big babies run in the family. Asher’s big brother, Judah, weighed 12 pounds.
Asher was a pound short of setting the state record for the largest baby in Iowa. In 1990 a mother gave birth to a 14 pound baby.
