Underwater Crop Circles Discovered

Updated: Wednesday, September 26 2012, 11:30 AM CDT
Mysterious crop circles have recently been discovered 80 feet below sea level of the southern tip of Japan. so, are these really out of this world?

There's a lot we don't know beyond our world.  Yet with less than 5% of our world's oceans unexplored (according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), there's much we don't know about what lies beneath our waters.

These images showing rippling geographic sand patterns were recently discovered by Japanese photographer Yoji Ookata 80 feet below sea level near Japan.

They come to find out that the culprit of these underwater masterpieces, was no alien, but a small male puffer fish, working tirelessly using only his fin to create the ridges and troughs..all in the name of love, since female puffer fish are attracted to the designs.  In the center of the circles is where they will mate and the females will lay their eggs.
