3 hospitalized after multi-vehicle collision in Sunset Valley
SUNSET VALLEY, Texas —
Three teenagers are in the hospital Sunday after being involved in crash late Saturday night.
According to the Sunset Valley Police Department, officers responded to a call at approximately 11:48 p.m. of a three-vehicle collision at the 5800 block of Brodie Lane.
Officers discovered a Toyota Avalon, a Chevrolet Impala and a Lexus involved in the collision, with the Impala having three people pinned in and severe damage to the vehicle.
The Impala’s occupants, consisting of a 17-year-old driver and two 16-year-old passengers, were extricated and transported to South Austin Hospital. Two of the three passengers suffered life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Avalon suffered serious, not-expected to be life-threatening injuries.
Austin-Travis County EMS treated and released the driver of the Lexus who sustained minor injuries.
It is unknown if alcohol played a factor in the collision. The incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
