Rally held to protest repeal of the Affordable Care Act
AUSTIN, Texas —
People from across Texas gathered at the state Capitol Monday morning to protest the repeal of the Affordable Care Act.
Health care advocates fear the number of uninsured will rise if national and state leaders don't have an adequate plan to replace it.
President Trump is expected to officially repeal the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, sometime this week.
Monday's rally also focused on protecting medicaid for children, seniors, women, and Texans with disabilities.
The rally was held at the south steps of the capitol at 11 a.m.Monday, and lasted through 12p.m. Monday.
