Investigators say the body of a Texas State University student has been found under a shuttle bus at an off-campus site where a party was held earlier.
The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office on Monday identified the victim as 20-year-old Jordin Taylor of Burleson. Her body was discovered Saturday beneath the bus at Cool River Ranch, a music and tubing site near Martindale.
According to the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office, Taylor was somehow hit by the shuttle bus and dragged 500 feet.
Sheriff Arnold Zwicke says the bus developed mechanical problems Friday night. Crews that went back to fix the vehicle located Taylor's body.
An autopsy shows Taylor's cause of death to be consistent with being struck and dragged by the bus. The sheriff says Taylor's death appears to be an accident, but the investigation into her death continues.
Texas State University spokesman Matt Flores says Taylor was a freshman majoring in respiratory care. She belonged to the Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
