10 Year Old Phenom Wins Wake Surfing World Title

Updated: Saturday, August 3 2013, 09:47 PM CDT

A fifth grader at Eanes Elementary school holds the current world title in wake surfing. Even though Raleigh Hager has only been competing for one year she is already blowing her competition out of the water.

"I don't think I know how I'm good, I wouldn't say I'm bad, but I
don't really want to say that I'm great, but apparently I am to other
people," Raleigh said.

In fact, many people have started to take notice of her special
talent, Raleigh has landed a few sponsors since her world title fame.
But her talent didn't come over night, Raleigh says she spends hours on
Lake Austin practicing new tricks.

"It's just so hard because you have to keep on practicing on the
tricks so you can actually land them in the competition," said Raleigh.

So with her winner's checks and new found fame what more could a ten
year old ask for? A Texas pig.

Raleigh's father, J.B.Hager, said he
promised Raleigh if she won the world title she could get her pig. Well
its time for him to come through on that promise.
