Carment's Karma: Former Athletes Helping Out

Updated: Friday, April 4 2014, 09:24 PM CDT
For 36 years Carment Kiara has run the Carment Kiara Track Club and Youth Organization on Austin's eastside.  He has trained athletes from all over, including some well-known names at Westlake like Drew Brees and Huston Street.  He played a big role in helping the 1996 Westlake football state title team prepare the summer before they won it all.
Kiara has fallen on some hard times though.  He refuses to turn anyone away from his track club or his home, but the funds to continue his heartfelt commitment are running dry.
Some of the athletes that he's helped trained are giving back.  They setup a golf tournament to benefit Kiara at Falconhead Friday, April 4th.Carment's Karma: Former Athletes Helping Out
