Coach Fran Charities To Hold Second Annual Run And Walk

Texas State head coach Dennis Franchione announced that the Second Annual Coach Fran Charities 5K Run and Walk will take place on Saturday, March 31 at Bobcat Stadium. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will benefit CASA, a child advocacy program that speaks up for abused and neglected children.

Participants for each race can pre-register at http://www.coachfrancharities.org/5krun.html by March 30 at 11:59 p.m. The pre-registered costs for competing in the race are $25 for adults and $15 for students and children.

Packet pickup for pre-registered participants is between 6:30-8:15 a.m. on Saturday at the Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields West Side Complex at Bobcat Stadium.

Each participant receives a free race T-shirt. Coach Franchione will present medals to the top three overall finishers in each race as well as the top three finishers in each age category. All participants will be eligible to win raffle prizes, such as an autographed football.

Runners and walkers also can register on Race Day for $30 for adults and $20 for students and children.

Race participants can also watch the Texas State football team play in its Maroon-Gold Football game at 2:00 p.m.Coach Fran Charities To Hold Second Annual Run And Walk
