Jack Nicklaus's New Design

Updated: Saturday, August 3 2013, 09:47 PM CDT
Jack Nicklaus unveiled his 12th course in the state of Texas on Tuesday at Summit Rock in Horseshoe Bay.

Nicklaus’ golf courses include ones in Dallas, Houston and Austin, but don’t just stop in Texas or the United States. The golf legend has extended his designs worldwide.

He has nineteen currently under construction in China and 19 going through zoning and planning - four in Moscow, a couple others in Europe, a couple down through SE Asia, and a couple in South America.

Nicklaus designs his golf courses to attract new players to the sport while also making it challenging enough so that people will keep coming back.

“You can gamble and challenge yourself to whatever level you want to challenge yourself, it's also got great beauty to it,” Nicklaus said.

The Summit Rock golf course is now open for play. Jack Nicklaus's New Design
