Reports: More Longhorn Players Leaving Program

Numerous reports say several University of Texas Longhorn football players, in addition to two charged with sexual assault Thursday, are leaving the program.

Numerous reports and sources close to the team tell KEYE TV's Adam Winkler that RB Jalen Overstreet, S Chevoski Collins, and RB Joe Bergeron are also kicked off.

UT officials will not confirm any departures from the team, but Kendall Sanders and Montrell Meander are no longer listed on the UT website.

Sanders and Meander are charged with sexual assault for an alleged incident in an on-campus dorm in June. They face the possibility of between two to 20 years in prison if found guilty of the sexual assault charges.

Sanders is also charged with improper photography or visual recording for allegedly taking a picture of the victim. This is his second arrest after Brazos County Sheriff's Deputies picked him up on a DWI charge in April 2013.

Reports are also coming in more players could be dismissed. Sources close to the program say Daje Johnson (junior WR/RB from Pflugerville Hendrickson High School) is one of the players "under review" and that his future with the program is in doubt. He was ruled academically ineligible for the Alamo Bowl at the end of last season.

In addition to being ruled academically ineligible for the bowl game, Daje was also suspended for the Texas Tech game last season for a violation of team rules. He also missed the 2012 season opener vs New Mexico due to a suspension.
