Ricky Takes Another Shot at Manziel

Updated: Friday, August 23 2013, 10:59 PM CDT

Ricky won't retreat.

Last week, 1998 Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams made headlines with these remarks about 2012 Heisman winner Johnny Manziel. Friday, KEYE TV spoke with Williams for the first time since his comments about the Texas A&M quarterback.

When asked if he wanted to clear anything up about his comments concerning Manziel, Ricky replied, "Was it a comment or is that a fact?"

Later in his exclusive interview with KEYE TV, we asked Williams if it's possible that immaturity has led to Manziel's polarizing and headline-filled offseason.

"I don't think that he's immature, I think he's very mature," said the former Longhorns running back. "I think it takes a lot of maturity to do whatever you like. To see him challenge the rules & create this kind of stir & this kind of conversation, I think that takes a hell of a lot of maturity."

Williams was at the Dell Diamond to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Friday's Round Rock Express game.
