Texas Longhorns Report for 2012 Season

The marathon that was the college football off season is now over.  The Texas Longhorns have arrived on campus.

Sunday morning, Jester East dormitory was the site of team check-in, as the Horns officially reported for the 2012 season.  UT is coming off an 8-and-5 campaign in 2011 that included a Holiday Bowl victory over Cal.  Mack Brown says the pressure is on the Texas offense to hold up its end of the bargain.

"I'm ready for the offense to step back up," said Mack Brown.  "I'm tired of the offense not being as good.  It's time for us to go back to scoring points."

If the offense is going to carry its weight, the right arms of quarterbacks David Ash and/or Case McCoy will shoulder a lot of that load.  Last year, the two QBs combined to throw 11 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.  You must crawl before you walk, and in 2012, Ash says it's time to ditch the diapers and pacifiers.

"We don't expect babies to write novels," said David Ash.  "So we don't expect freshman quarterbacks to break open the record books.  But we do expect babies to grow up and learn."Texas Longhorns Report for 2012 Season
