X Games In Full Swing

Updated: Friday, June 6 2014, 05:52 PM CDT

If you love action sports, the X Games is definitely the place to be this weekend.

"Even if you're not into sports and you don't know who the athletes are it's still fun to watch people flying through the air on a BMX bike or dirt bike," says X Games fan Tommy Shallue.

But what if you don't? After all watching action sports aren't for everyone.

But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the x-games. Even if you don't like to watch, you can still try it yourself.

"Kids can check out BMX bikes, and adults, ride them around," says spectator Stephanie Johnson. She's surprised at all the event has to offer.

Still not convinced? How about a game of king of the hill, last man standing or bungee jumping. If you're more an indoor person you can try your hand at gaming.

For some of these kids, gaming comes first, action sports second. And of course you can't forget the music.

"I'm excited, I'm stoked, I'm from L.A. so I like the whole mosh pit of people coming together so it's cool," says X Games fan Josh Ashford.

But there's one thing he would change about the music. "We're in Texas, we're in Austin, Texas. Give me some country," says Ashford.

And when it comes to attire, remember it's hot. "Dress light, take your shirt off once you get in here, if you're a guy," says Ashford.

Also, be prepared to walk and wear comfortable shoes.
